Empower Weekend is a catalytic gathering designed to awaken your identity in Christ, equip you in the power of the Holy Spirit, and launch you into God’s mission for your life. We believe that there is a leader is every chair and this weekend is designed for you to be released into the fullness of your calling. 

Across five sessions in two days you’ll experience powerful worship, Biblical teaching, and a community hungry for God’s presence.

Come expectant for a fresh encounter with Jesus… and yes, food to fuel the journey! 🍔🙌

Cost:
– Regular: $50
– Student Rate: $30
* Both rates include refreshments at each session, lunch on Saturday, and printed materials.

Mission and Purpose
Empower Weekend is a 5-session, Spirit-led experience designed to equip believers to live with Kingdom influence wherever God has placed them. We love the local church and want Empower to be run in partnership with local congregations. Participants will be equipped for ministry both in their workplace and in their church.
Why Empower?
At Resurgence, we want to call out “the leader in every chair.” We believe empowered leaders make a kingdom impact in their churches and everyday lives. Each session brings together the practical and the supernatural, with the goal of raising up leaders who are:

Whole (leading as sons and daughters),
Spirit-led (hearing God’s voice and operating in spiritual gifts),
Relational (committed to healthy rhythms with others),
Kingdom-minded (seeing their vocation as part of God’s mission), and
Fruitful (leaving a legacy and leading others to Jesus).
Who is the Empower Weekend for?
Empower is for a generation that’s tired of consumer Christianity and wants to live fully alive in Jesus. It’s for young people (16+), young professionals, and seasoned leaders who want to carry revival, not just attend an event. It’s about encounter, equipping, and being released to make an impact.
What is the Format?
The Empower Weekend takes place around circles rather than rows. We believe that learning is deepened in the context of community. Sessions are dynamic, with times of worship, group discussion, interactive activities, prayer, and reflection. Each circle is guided by a trained facilitator.
Can I come with a group?
Yes! If you would like to go through the Empower Weekend with friends, we will make sure you’re placed together. We’ll be contacting all guests shortly before the weekend to confirm these kinds of requests.
Information for Churches & Pastors
If you are a pastor wanting to bring a group (or multiple groups), please let us know via the “Contact Us” page on our website. Individuals from your church will still need to register themselves (indicating their church during registration). Each group will need a facilitator from your church—we’ll connect with them and provide training in advance.
Volunteer Needs
We need volunteers to help make Empower happen! Opportunities include set-up and clean-up, greeting at registration, circle facilitation, and food/hospitality. Volunteers can attend the weekend for free. If you’d like to serve, please reach out through our website.
