RESURGENCE ON INSTAGRAM

Though condemned to death by the very people He ca Though condemned to death by the very people He came to love, Jesus took up the cross. He endured the physical pain, humiliation, and the insurmountable spiritual weight of our sin through this paramount moment. Our Lord never lost sight of the Father’s love for us. Even in the deepest anguish, Jesus cried out to the Father for forgiveness on behalf of the world. His focus was on LOVE, even while facing the most intimate severance from His Father - and Himself.

Jesus' hope endured as He focused on the Father, trusting that He would fulfill the promise that you and I would receive a new Spirit and new Life. Though he suffered, Christ saw the hope of new life and fulfilled promises: a life of intimacy between people and God.

Today we remember and say thank you for the dedication of Jesus. His incredible heavenly perspective - hoping to see the Father’s love for us fulfilled - has changed our lives forever. We would not know Heaven the way we do today without His hope and perspective. Thank you, Jesus!

Before Jesus’s hour of suffering, he spent an ev Before Jesus’s hour of suffering, he spent an evening in intimate fellowship with his chosen twelve (Luke 22:14-20). Unbeknownst to them, this was not just another dinner. Jesus, perceiving what was to come, instigated a profoundly sacred act, one still practiced by his followers today: The Lord’s Supper.

Its tokens – the bread and wine – are covenantal symbols of the body and blood that reconciled us with God. It is no small thing that Jesus asked his disciples, as he now asks us, to remember him this way. The perspective of the disciples was limited to the present moment, but Jesus saw beyond that upper room, beyond his approaching cross, and into the eyes of every one of us who still take the bread and wine. Think of it this way: when we remember Jesus through Communion, he sees us and takes it personally. “Do this is remembrance of me.” Let’s respond to this request with an eager reverence, knowing that the covenant we recall is sacred to our Lord.
There is a mysterious precedent that has been set There is a mysterious precedent that has been set in the Bible that gets repeated over and over again. Praise always comes before the victory.

One of the most powerful examples of this happens just before the greatest victory of all time – Jesus’ death and resurrection. He rides into Jerusalem like a victorious king with an entourage of disciples shouting, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!” They rejoiced and praised God for all that they had seen him do. What a scene that must have been! It was so disruptive that Pharisees showed up and told Jesus to make them stop. Yet, Jesus responded to their angst in his usual matter-of-fact way by simply stating, “if these were silent, the very stones would cry out” (Luke 19:40).

Jesus was about to face the greatest battle of all time; if there was going to be a victory, praise was required. And if the people had not been willing to praise, then creation itself would have to do it instead. Because praise always comes before victory. So let’s get our praise on today!

In our daily life, having hope is sometimes attach In our daily life, having hope is sometimes attached to the idea of a fleeting desire, or ideal situation. However, God has designed hope to be grounded & rooted in love; hope grows in us through praise, endurance, and character. The hope that is forged in us as we seek and trust the Lord is not a fleeting event, solution, or plan - this hope is in someone who LOVES you.

Our Father who LOVES us is who grounds our hope. No matter how big or small we feel our hope is, in the best or worst of situations, hope that is grounded in the Father’s love “does not put us to shame." Romans 5:5.

Today, allow your perspective on your season to be strengthened as you remember your experiences with Holy Spirit and God’s love. Remember and reflect on the lavish love He has given you in His Spirit. Ask Him to remind you of His lavish love, or to lead you in tender care to know His Holy Spirit anew. He will tenderly grow hope in you as you know and remember His love poured out for you.
Have your expectations changed in this season? In Have your expectations changed in this season? In a positive way, or perhaps negatively out of fear of disappointment?

“…and character produces hope…” Romans 5:4 “…and character produces hope…” Romans 5:4b.

There are few things more reviving, or more heart-healing, than hope. Hope is up there with the most frequent of our prayer requests, isn’t it? Here, Paul describes it as the hinge that swings us from suffering to a heart full of Holy Spirit-inspired love.

Prior to our experience of hope, however, is an encounter with character. Hope is the by-product of character; we rarely experience one without the other. Both give meaning to our sufferings which, rather than threatening us, actually strengthen and equip us to carry God’s love. We need character to experience enduring hope; we need hope to encounter love. We rejoice in suffering because, if we hang in there, we will reap a harvest of hope.
We continue to agree in prayer over the creativity We continue to agree in prayer over the creativity & innovation being birthed - for the seeds God placed in His body during this past season that are now showing signs of new life! 🌱

Perhaps the seed isn’t something tangible, but a change of mindset. Find the seed. If God planted it, tend to it, as it’ll be so so fruitful!
