Last year I felt God calling me to hold a series of meetings called “Re:surgence”,
[a rising again; a resurrection; a renewal; a restoration to use]. The intention of these meetings was to create an atmosphere where the Holy Spirit was welcome to move in power; where worship released freedom; where the Gospel was preached and demonstrated; where people were healed, freed from bondage, filled with the Holy Spirit and commissioned to live for the Kingdom. With this vision brewing in my heart and a team of people gathered around me, we held a series of gatherings over the course of three nights in October 2008 and then again in March 2009. God was faithful to His promise and His presence fell in a lasting and transformational way at both sets of events. Since then, the fruit of His work has been evident in many ways, and it is clear that “Re:surgence” is more than three nights of meetings.
Since the last Re:surgence, we as a team have taken time to pray, prepare, and grow in unity as we continue to steward this movement with which we have been entrusted. Over the past five months, there have been frequent questions about Re:surgence: What is Re:surgence? When is the next event? What resources are available to bring Re:surgence to my life and my community?
That being said, we are starting off this fall with a new website, resources, and some exciting events that will help in propelling this movement:
October re:surgence: We are planning a one-night gathering on Friday October 16, 2009 in Edmonton. Mark it on your calendars! We are meeting together to experience freedom, expect miracles, and engage in God’s presence in a powerful way.
Website: We have created a brand new interactive website that will be home to articles, resources, and discussion regarding living a life of re:surgence. Look for the website launch in late-September 2009. [www.LiveResurgence.com]. Be sure to “follow” re:surgence on Twitter for continuous updates on re:surgence! re:surgence on twitter is found at: twitter.com/LiveResurgence.
Prayer: Prayer is our foundation, thus, we are working on a prayer strategy where regular prayer gatherings will be scheduled, partnership with local prayer houses established, and a network of intercessors established.
This is an exciting season and it is just the beginning! We know that this dream is not simply for one team of people to fulfill, but rather, requires collective involvement. This dream involves you. In order to see Re:surgence emerge into the fullness of what God has spoken, we require partnerships. Will you join us? In this next season we need you to participate in attending Re:surgence events, joining us in prayer, serving alongside our team, and helping to promote Re:surgence in your individual realms of influence. I pray God would speak to you on how you can get involved.
