WATCH CONFERENCE PROMO VIDEO

There is a voice that silences every noise. A voice that makes the storm calm.  A voice that speaks hope. A voice that brings healing. It is the voice of a loving father who rejoices over you with joyful song.  His voice commands all the earth.

As believers we practice hearing the voice of God; through adversity and trial, we learn the sound of God’s voice in the midst of darkness. Learning to hear God’s voice is a discipline that’s meant not just to bring life to our inner man, but to overflow and be used to speak hope and life into the world.

Micah 6:9 says, “The voice of the LORD will call to the city.”  We – the Church – are called to be that voice today.  Our voice is meant to influence culture, to bring the Kingdom of Heaven to earth. It is our great honour to prophesy over our land to “make straight the way of the Lord” (John 1:23).

Are you using your voice?

May 21 – 23, 2020

Terwillegar Community Church
Edmonton, AB

1751 Towne Centre Blvd NW

The Church is the voice proclaiming in each city of the earth, “the Kingdom of Heaven has come near” Matt. 10:7.

With Friends…

Dr. Michael Maiden and Mary, his beloved wife of 40 years, are the senior pastors of Church for the Nations in Phoenix, Arizona. Here he strongly and lovingly prepares God’s people for service in God’s Kingdom. Dr. Maiden has earned both a Masters and Doctorate Degree in Christian Psychology. He has authored seven books including: The Joshua Generation: God’s Manifesto for the End Time Church, and his most recent book, God of the Comeback, which speaks about God restoring everything back.

In addition to his work in the local church, he is a strong prophetic voice to this generation and has ministered to those holding Public Offices as well as Pastors and Ministers throughout the world. He serves on the apostolic board of Church On The Rock International – a dynamic ministry that oversees more than 6,000 churches worldwide. He is also on the board of Fishers of Men International, the Jewish Voice International and several local churches.

Travis Holownia has a great passion for God and for people. His greatest desire is to see this generation experience what it means to live in the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. God has used Travis in a catalytic way. His speaking and teaching inspires youth, young adults, and all ages by calling the Spirit of God to stir and awaken hearts.

Travis is the visionary leader of Resurgence Initiatives, a movement started in 2008 seeking to inspire people to arise together. Resurgence gathers and releases people who expect the impossible, experience God’s love, empower those around them, and engage in expanding God’s Kingdom.

Previously, Travis served for 8 years in the leadership of Christian youth conferences worldwide, and prior to that worked in a management role in the oil industry. Travis calls Edmonton, Canada home, cheers for the Oilers, and holds degrees both in Engineering and Theology.

Caris is a home grown Edmontonian, who has a heart for Revival in Canada and beyond. She works part-time as a Hairstylist and is always in active, full time ministry! She currently leads worship at City Centre Church, and leads a passionate lifestyle of love and faith for Jesus. She has served on the Resurgence Lead Team since its inception, and her passion for the call and vision has only grown. For the past 19 years, she has been cultivating purpose filled expression. Through speaking and song, Caris leads others in worship to experience the beauty and magnificence of the Father, inspiring and empowering others to live out their faith in real and tangible ways in their everyday life.

Steven Carleton is President of the Bill Prankard Evangelistic Association. Steven shares Bill Prankard’s vision for spiritual revival in Canada and has the same heart for Canada’s Indigenous people. Under the mentorship of Bill Prankard, Steven has become a dynamic minister of the Gospel across Canada and in communities throughout the Canadian Arctic.  His powerful story of God’s miraculous healing power in his life after suffering the trauma of sexual abuse, along with his Inuit heritage, resonates with the youth of Canada’s Arctic. He spearheads the Arctic Hope Project, which is a Spirit-empowered ministry designed to address the epidemic of youth suicide and social crisis in the Arctic, to bring healing and hope to those who are broken, and to prepare Inuit youth to become effective future leaders. Steven’s wife Becky is an integral part of the ministry. They live in Ottawa, Ontario and are the parents of three beautiful little girls.

…AND MORE!

The voice of the LORD is upon the waters…

The voice of the LORD is powerful…

The voice of the LORD is majestic…

The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness…

And in His temple everything says, ‘Glory!’

Psalm 29:3-9

What is a conference? Maybe not what you think!

Conference: The act of conferring.

Confer: To grant, bestow or give. To converse, exchange ideas, consult together, deliberate and talk over- often in order to take action. From the Latin “con-” (together) and “ferre” (to carry, bear, bring).

The art of conferring is literally about unity! To confer is, “to converse, exchange ideas, consult together, deliberate and talk over – often in order to take action.” A foundational design of Resurgence is our team approach – meeting with others to get the fullest picture of who God is and what His heart is after. We hope you will join us as we translate that culture into a multi-day gathering – a true “conference”!

To honour the true nature of conferring, our Conference seating is organized into small circle groups of 8-10 people to allow for discussion & interaction.  During all General Sessions (except Saturday evening), attendees will sit with their assigned circle group.  There is a place on your registration to note a preference of someone you’d like to be seated with – we will do our best to accommodate all requests.  During workshops and meals, seating is not assigned, so you will have time to connect and engage with other attendees!
