You are invited to join us for a gathering of friends, leaders, and dreamers encountering a rising again…

The saints who have changed the course of Kingdom history were not content with gathering as a body of believers.  An encounter with God caused life transformation that stirred the believer to go! Since the coming of the Holy Spirit, saints (all who have been made new in Christ) have been scattered throughout the world, preaching the word wherever they went [Acts 8:4].  Being a disciple is a call to change the course of history by taking his name into every sphere of influence. Your school, your workplace, your neighbourhood, your city, your nation is waiting… wanting… wondering… will you come to them and bring the message of Jesus? This is the moment we walk out of the gathering as the Church, empowered to see cities restored and nations saved. We are called to be SCATTERED SAINTS.

May 9 – 11, 2019

Could our scatterings be greater than our gatherings?

“There is a certain people dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of your kingdom who keep themselves separate. Their customs are different from those of all other people…” (Esther 3:8)

With Friends…

She is the leader of the Prayer Team Ministry at Connect Church (Edmonton) and has served as a member of the national Parliament delegation for the MY Canada Association. Carla is originally from Brazil, has been married to Leandro Prado for 16 years, and recently welcomed her baby daughter, Hannah.

Ben is the Lead Pastor of First Assembly in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Ben and His wife Heather have served together in Pastoral and Apostolic ministry for over 20 years.  They share a deep spiritual burden for our nation of Canada – specifically for the unchurched and the next generation. They long to see a fresh outpouring of The Holy Spirit in our time, and they believe that some of the most exciting days for the Canadian church are ahead. Together with their kids, they count it an incredible honour to be able to serve Jesus and serve the beautiful City of Calgary.

Travis Holownia has a great passion for God and for people. His greatest desire is to see this generation experience what it means to live in the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. God has used Travis in a catalytic way. His speaking and teaching inspires youth, young adults, and all ages by calling the Spirit of God to stir and awaken hearts.

Travis is the visionary leader of Resurgence Initiatives, a movement started in 2008 seeking to inspire people to arise together. Resurgence gathers and releases people who expect the impossible, experience God’s love, empower those around them, and engage in expanding God’s Kingdom.

Previously, Travis served for 8 years in the leadership of Christian youth conferences worldwide, and prior to that worked in a management role in the oil industry. Travis calls Edmonton, Canada home, cheers for the Oilers, and holds degrees both in Engineering and Theology.

Michael Larson is a Canadian worship leader, songwriter and pastor. As a composer, Michael is most well known for the worship song “Freedom Reigns” which has been recorded by many churches and worship leaders internationally. Under the mentorship of Bill Prankard, Steven has become a dynamic minister of the Gospel across Canada and in communities throughout the Canadian Arctic.  His powerful story of God’s miraculous healing power in his life after suffering the trauma of sexual abuse, along with his Inuit heritage, resonates with the youth of Canada’s Arctic. He spearheads the Arctic Hope Project, which is a Spirit-empowered ministry designed to address the epidemic of youth suicide and social crisis in the Arctic, to bring healing and hope to those who are broken, and to prepare Inuit youth to become effective future leaders. Steven’s wife Becky is an integral part of the ministry. They live in Ottawa, Ontario and are the parents of three beautiful little girls.

Through speaking and song, Caris leads others in worship to experience the beauty and magnificence of the Father, inspiring and empowering others to live out their faith in real and tangible ways in their everyday life.

Pastor Dino Skariah was born and raised in Kerala, India. As the son of a pastor, he grew up recognizing his call for ministry. He lived and studied in Australia before moving to Canada 14 years ago to pursue graduate studies. Pastor Dino is a Holy Spirit lead preacher of the Word with a passion and call to see this generation catch the fire of the Holy Spirit. To see the same outpouring of the Holy Spirit that was inaugurated on the day of Pentecost touch down with greater glory in this season for the salvation of souls, transformation of lives and a release of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He believes that we are getting ready to see both a repeat of the mega revivals that begun in the first century and fulfillment of the promised Holy Spirit falling fresh upon all flesh with sons and daughters prophesying.
Pastor Dino is the pastor of New Seasons PHM Church and an associate pastor at ZAMIE working with the Young Adults. He is married with two kids.

Jeannie Buyer married a pastor (Lyle Buyer) and has been working by his side within the church setting for the last 33 years. Scattered Saints: The moment the Church answers

the call to live the encounter everyday!

“Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went!” Acts 8:4

What is a conference? Maybe not what you think!

Conference: The act of conferring.

Confer: To grant, bestow or give. To converse, exchange ideas, consult together, deliberate and talk over- often in order to take action. From the Latin “con-” (together) and “ferre” (to carry, bear, bring).

The art of conferring is literally about unity! To confer is, “to converse, exchange ideas, consult together, deliberate and talk over – often in order to take action.” A foundational design of Resurgence is our team approach – meeting with others to get the fullest picture of who God is and what His heart is after. We hope you will join us as we translate that culture into a multi-day gathering – a true “conference”!

To honour the true nature of conferring, our Conference seating is organized into small circle groups of 8-10 people to allow for discussion & interaction.  During all General Sessions (except Saturday evening), attendees will sit with their assigned circle group.  There is a place on your registration to note a preference of someone you’d like to be seated with – we will do our best to accommodate all requests.  During workshops and meals, seating is not assigned, so you will have time to connect and engage with other attendees!

Yes, registration covers all sessions of the conference.

Resurgence event registrations are non-refundable upon purchase, but are fully transferable – you are more than welcome to gift your registration!

We do not offer registration for individual sessions. The conference is built around unique interactive elements and interrelated teachings and activities that build on each other. It’s designed to be experienced as a whole, together in community. For those who choose to register for the whole event, but will miss certain portions, we encourage you to connect with friends to confer about what you missed! The only portion of the Conference where registration is not required is the Saturday night at 7pm as it will be a regular Resurgence Edmonton Gathering open to all.

We are inviting people of all ages to gather with us and hope to see intergenerational connections and ministry happening!

Families are a valuable part of our community. We will have the Parents’ Room at Terwillegar Community Church available for your own use, though a children’s track or supervised care are not provided. Children 12 and up must be fully registered.

Because of the community nature of the conference, seating is assigned into circles for all main-sessions to allow for discussion and interaction.  There is a place on your registration to note a preference of someone you’d like to be seated with – we will do our best to accommodate all requests, but we cannot make any promises.  During breakouts and meals, seating is not assigned, so you will have time to connect and engage with other attendees!

“Our mission is to reconnect families with their inborn ability to heal and maintain optimal health by providing specific care of the spine and nervous system. We are here to help people be set free from their current health conditions so that they may live a life of optimal health. We also help people of all ages maintain optimal health for their lifetime! Our desire is to see all people living out their God-given purpose and living the abundant life God has promised.”
“Our mission is to equip and mobilize the Church to help society’s marginalized know Jesus and experience His power to change the world. Together, society’s marginalized and the Church are transformed by Jesus. We send teams of committed volunteers to places and people like the inner city and addiction recovery, widows, newcomers to Canada, people in long-term care, and those who are in prison. Our volunteers work as a team to build relationships, engage others in the gospel, and pray with those they are reaching out to in a group setting.”
