Since the inception of Resurgence, the call of God has always been to make it more than just a night, an event, a service or a conference. The call of God has been to invite people into a lifestyle that expects revival and actively engages in building the Kingdom of God in our circles of influence. To build and sustain this lifestyle of “Resurgence,” we must have deep and meaningful connections with God and with others. Come+Union is another step in establishing these connections.
Come+Union = COMMUNION
Communion :
1) The sharing intimate thoughts or feelings, especially when exchanged on a mental or spiritual level
2) The service of Christian worship of which bread and wine are consecrated & shared.
3) A relationship of recognition and acceptance between Christian churches or denominations, or between individual Christians or Christian communities and a Church. A group of Christian communities or churches that recognize one another’s ministries.
Come+Union is a 5 week hands on , interactive teaching in conversation about Worship… Learning to redefine and remind you of the true meaning of Worship… That you are created
To be with Him, love Him, to walk and talk with Him ….that worship is not just songs for 30 minutes before a sermon or your favourite worship cd. But rather a life style and everyday connection with the Father.
The hope and goal for come+union is to empower the individual. From pew to platform…. in your personal interactions with God but secondly in your corporate interactions within the local church as well as resurgence.
This will be a space to grow and develop a deeper understanding of what it means to get back to the garden… back to your first love.. how God intended you to be… with him in your everyday living.
WHAT IS IT?
Dates: 5 weeks on Monday Nights: March 5, March 12, March 19, March 26 and April 9 2018.
Time: 6:45pm – 9:30pm
Location: Terwillegar Community Church, 1751 Towne Centre Blvd NW, Edmonton, AB
We will gather together in one space, separated into designated circle with hosts at each group. The format will include teaching, personal examples, testimonies, discussion, prayer for each other, and food. Topics will center around coming “back to the garden”. To revisit the importance of our relationship with God, and how we interact with Him. Some of the classes will have subjects like: Identity- Created in His Image, Language – finding your connection points with the Lord, Vulnerbility – naked and unashamed, Everyday Living – an invitation in active participation as well as an interactive “paint night” to tap into different ways of expression/connection with the Father.
The structure of these nights is designed for you to meet and interact with people, and the topics taught and discussed are chosen to prepare your heart, mind and spirit for strong Godly connections with people. You will be part of the conversation and it will be an opportunity to get to know people, see God working in others, and be challenged in your own relationship with Him.
To be part of this experiment, you have to commit to all 5 weeks and complete at application as part of the registration process. The cost for all five weeks is $65.00. ( The cost includes a night where every gets a chance to paint together!)
