Gather together with the Resurgence community for a three day retreat with the mandate to “Advance.” Individually and corporately, God wants us to advance in our dreams, faith, and relationship with Him. This significant time will include worship, teaching, community building, and personal prayer ministry.
As we plan the annual Resurgence Advance we are inviting you to more than an event or weekend away. This is an opportunity to undergo God breathed transformation in the context of vulnerable and accountable community. This is a place to experience the presence and love of God together with hungry and expectant community. This is a weekend to hear God speak purpose and destiny over your life in the midst of empowering and catalytic community. If you are looking for a group of people you can grow together in God with, we welcome you to join us as we inspire each other to ADVANCE together!

Step into the weekend with a pre-Advance personal retreat. This optional extra day and night will allow you to have some self-directed time to settle, rest and dwell with God in anticipation of the Advance. On Thursday, November 23rd you can arrive at the camp from 5PM on. The time will consist of some worship, an open space for prayer, time to read and journal. The additional cost is $55.00 and includes your Thursday night accommodation and 3 meals on Friday. It was such a memorable, life-changing time for the people that attended last year!
Youth, young adults, parents, married, single…whoever is hungry for more of God! Our hope is to see all ages, all backgrounds, and all stages of life experience a resurgence of God in their life, and as such we aim to make sure all can attend and engage with God this weekend. Jolene was born in Grande Prairie, AB and raised in a small town just outside of Grande Prairie. After high school, she moved to Edmonton to study and completed a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Theology. After graduating, she then went on to pursue a Masters in Intercultural Studies that had a required course in marriage and family counselling. While taking that course, her educational plans took a radical turn when the Lord broke her heart for the church and the need for restoration and healing within the body of Christ. With this new undeniable passion, Jolene found a seminary in the United States that offered an accredited Masters program in Marriage and Family Therapy. After completing the program, the Lord distinctly called her back to Edmonton, and led her to open a small office called, Within His Promises Counselling and Consulting. Many of her referrals come from local churches within the city and surrounding areas.
In addition, she is presently helping lead worship and facilitating the New Comers Ministry at her home church of Zion Apostolic Ministries International Edmonton. Jolene has a burning passion to see God’s children walking in freedom according to the promises that are reserved for them through Jesus Christ and by the power of the Holy Spirit. She finds no greater joy than in living her life abandoned to Jesus and knows she will never be satisfied with anything less than His will being completely fulfilled in her life.
Caris Rinas | Worship
Caris is a home grown Edmontonian, who has a heart for Revival in Canada and beyond. She works part-time as a Hairstylist and is always in active full time ministry! She currently leads worship at City Centre Church, and leads a passionate lifestyle of love and faith for Jesus. She has served on the Resurgence Lead Team since its inception, and her passion for the call and vision has only grown. For the Past 17 years, she has been cultivating purpose filled expression. Through song, Caris leads others in worship to experience the beauty and magnificence of the Father, inspiring & empowering others to live out their faith in real and tangible ways in their everyday life.
Travis Holownia | Speaker
Travis Holownia has a great passion for God and for people. His greatest desire is to see this generation experience what it means to live in the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. God has used Travis in a catalytic way. His speaking and teaching inspires youth, young adults, and all ages by calling the Spirit of God to stir and awaken hearts.Travis is the visionary leader of Resurgence Initiatives, a movement started in 2008 seeking to inspire people to arise together. Resurgence gathers and releases people who expect the impossible, experience God’s love, empower those around them, and engage in expanding God’s Kingdom.Previously, Travis served for 8 years in the leadership of Christian youth conferences worldwide, and prior to that worked in a management role in the oil industry. Travis calls Edmonton, Canada home, cheers for the Oilers, and holds degrees both in Engineering and Theology.
